The University of Tours, in cooperation with the Servier Group, has set up a pilot production unit for biomedicines, which are produced from genetically modified mammalian cells. The vocation of the BIO-S unit is to produce preclinical and clinical batches for the Servier group's R&D, upstream of the marketing of biomedical products.
