The University of Tours has a proactive policy for the development of its research. It is associated with the main French research organisations (INRAE - National Research Institute for Agriculture, Food and the Environment, INSERM - National Institute of Health and Medical Research, CNRS - National Centre for Scientific Research) as well as with its close ecosystem, in particular the CHRU (Regional University Hospital Centre) of Tours but also the University of Orléans or the INSA (National Institute of Applied Sciences) CVL. It has strong interactions with many national and international research actors, both public and private research organisations and structures. The University of Tours is open and interacts extensively with both the socio-economic and socio-cultural worlds.
