  • Incoming students

- about 2.700 foreign students (120 nationalities) are welcomed each year (i.e. more than 10% of students), among which 300 Erasmus students and 400 exchange students from partner universities outside Europe

- 200 students in the university offshore degrees

  • Outgoing students

- about 500 students from the university go abroad each year ; among them, 350 are Erasmus students

- about 350 students go abroad each year for a training period

In a ranking published by the French agency 2E2F on outgoing mobility in 2008-2009, Tours was listed on the 7th position, among 720 French higher education institutions having an Erasmus University Charter.

At the international level, France is the 3rd host country for foreign students, just behind the USA and Great Britain.
